Disappointment at Johnstownbridge

Venue: Johnstownbridge, Kildare
Date: Saturday 17th October

Johnstownbridge beat the 2014 All-Ireland champions Kilmessan earlier in the month to become the Leinster champions. From the throw-in they meant business and were a class outfit and the half time score of 3-15 to 0-1 said enough.

Johnstownbridge made a few substitutions at half time which allowed Tara to challenge and effectively win the second phase, only allowing the hosts to score 1 point in the second half. Joanne Hamilton, Claire Ryan, Caroline Kelly and Maria Ryan, making her Tara debut, shone in the second half.

Johnstownbridge were class throughout the field but especially by Jane O Donoghue, S Hurley, Louise Codd, Shona Beatty and Roisin O Connell
