Author: Emer
Venue: Johnstownbridge, Kildare
Date: Saturday 17th October

The All Britain Senior Camogie champions, Tara, travel to Ireland on Saturday to take on Johnstownbridge of Kildare in the Junior All Ireland club quarter final. The match is fixed for Johnstownbridge in Kildare at 1.30pm

After a clean sweep in this years championship, having won their 7th Senior title in a row, the Londoners will be hoping to go the whole way this year. They will have a tough battle on their hands in the quarter final, with their Kildare opponents having scored 2-17 in the Leinster final against Meath team Kilmessan. However the Tara girls with be looking to build on their win over Shire Gaels in the All Britain final having beaten them on a score line of 3-10 to 1-4. After last years last minute defeat to Kerry team, Clanmaurice in their backyard, Ruislip, the Londoners will be doing everything in their power not to make the same mistakes again.

Tara manager, Alan Smyth from Galway has no easy job picking the starting 15 with a squad of 30 players travelling to Ireland on Saturday. Tara captain, Roisin O Grady, from Dublin mentioned in her speech after the All-Britain final that the Tara team mates were her sisters in Camogie, she will be hoping the team will be travelling back to London on Saturday night as one big happy family with an All-Ireland Semi Final to look forward to. Best of luck to the Tara girls and the management team. Tara would like to thank their sponsors Ryans Bar for kitting them out with new bags and tops for the trip back.
