Tara bag points in Holly Lane

Author: Emer Kelly
Venue: Greenford
Date: Saturday 19th July 2014

We travelled to Holly Lane in Birmingham on Saturday to play Erin go Bragh in the last of the Junior league group games on what was a very wet day. This put the Tara girls in a play off with Croydon and john Mitchell's to determine the league champions 2014.

It was one way traffic for the girls in Blue and White in the first half with the half time score being 6-9 to 0-0.

Despite the rain being very heavy in the second half making conditions difficult, both teams kept up the fight but the Londoners prevailed with a final score of 10-16 to 0-0.
Scorers for Tara's were Orla Tynan 3-5, Anna Nyhan 2-4, Eilis O Neill 1-3, Joni Traynor 0-1, Sheila Fernandes 3-2, Ellie Murphy 1-0, Lisa Creamer 0-1. Congrats to Ellie Murphy ad June Donnelly on making their Tara debuts.

Well done to both teams and thanks to the ref Denis Neehan.
